This MS4 type dynamic penetrometer is a so-called light penetrometer test because the load is applied manually by means of a falling weight that the operator lifts and drops on the test subject. The operator can change arms at any time and thus avoid the inconvenience of repetitive movements, which usually are linked with the use of a hammer. The lightweight dynamic penetrometer is transported in a suitcase.

This penetrometer test is widely used all over the world.
